Situated close to the old harbour, on the Mail street facing the ocean and gardens, it is a symbolic place of the area. We recently discovered this restaurant in La Rochelle but it was open since 1906! Originally a brasserie, it has been bought a little more than one year ago by Patricia & Hervé Brandt that totally restored it keeping the spirit of the place.
The menu change with seasons and is made with local and fresh produtcs only. The Chef, Olivier Giraud, is from the region and enjoys cooking good products. We really appreciated our Menu du Marché which is a good value and includes delicious meals: appetizer, crusty fish, foie gras, white fish and vegetables, sablé…
We also realy appreciated the kindness of our hosts, Hervé and Patricia, who were really attentive to details and our wellness, especially with me and all my allergies. I only can recommand you to go there as well and live this beautiful experience.
