Amarettis biscuits are Italian and perfect for breakfast or afternoon tea party. You can also use them with an expresso in the end of your meal.
Ingredients for 40 biscuits:
- 3 egg whites
- 400 g almond powder
- 200 g icing sugar
- 1 teaspoon bitter almond extract
Preheat the oven at 375°F. Place a baking paper on a drip pan. Mix all the ingredients by hand in a big bowl, the dough has to be moist. Form small flattened balls (walnut size) in your hands and place them on the drip pan. Place in the oven and cook for 8-10 minutes until the borders are colored. Remove from the oven after cooking and cool down before serving. You can dust them with icing sugar.
