• Raspberry Grapefruit Lemonade

For a refreshing and tasty drink, opt for the lemonade. I tried this one during summer combining raspberry and grapefruit and really enjoyed it! For the sparkling water, we have a sodastream at home, means that we make our own, but you can use the one you are used to (select one not too much salty). I have added some white beet sugar but you can also use superfine sugar (same quantity) or brown sugar (1 teaspoon). Ingredients for 2 glasses: 20 raspberries 1 grapefruit 1 glass sparkling water 1 tablespoon sugar Recipe: Squeeze the grapefruit and add it in a blender with 15 raspberries and the sugar. Mix until…

  • Green Tomatoes Jam

This autumn, we had a lot of tomatoes in our garden that would not turn red but remained green. I hate food waste so I when I heard about that green tomatoes could be cooked into jam, I have decided to make some with mine. Ingredients: 1.7 kg green tomatoes (not mature) 1 kg granulated sugar 10 cl water 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Recipe: Wash your tomatoes, remove the stem and cut them in big pieces. Pour them into a big sauce pan with the sugar, water and vanilla extract. Place the sauce pan on the burner at high temperature (but not the highest because it will burn). Mix with…

  • Palem Café

Looking for a place to have lunch in La Rochelle (France)? Here is one of my favorite place: Palem Café. A cool café-restaurant just beside the Market! They are lucky to be close to the producers so they can cook very fresh and seasonal food. The place is small but cosy and well decorated with wood, straw and plants. I already felt comfortable and relaxed there, they are very nice and smiling people and it was really appreciated. The menu offers several possibilites for special diets like veggies and because everything is home-made, it is possible to remove ingredients from meals if you can’t eat them. I am allergic to…

  • My Garden

Do you enjoy gardening? As you may have seen in the “About Me” section, I spent my childhood in the country and have been lucky to do some gardening as a child with my family. I loved those moments and hope to go back to the country one day to have my own big garden. Meanwhile, I am so lucky to have a small place to grow some herbs to cook, vegetables and fruits! For the herbs, I bought organic ones. I have basil, chives and parsley. I let them close to my door so I just have to walk a few steps from my kitchen to use them quickly…
