• Chili Con Carne

I used to live in Arizona a few years ago, a place where food is inspired by american and mexican tastes. I had a lot of culinary experiences there and I have created my own chili con carne recipe when I came back. Originally, the meat used for it is beef but I have decided to try it with pork and the taste is really good too!!! Ingredients: 1 onion 500 g red beans 400 g grounded meat (beef or pork) 140 g corn seeds 2-3 tomatoes 2 garlic cloves 2 tablespoons black pepper 2 tablespoons olive oil 1 tablespoon Maggi liquid seasoning 2 teaspoons paprika 1 teaspoon origan 1…

  • Gurou

It is not always easy to find 100% veggie restaurants in small and medium size cities. Even if eat everything, I am always curious about trying new meals, textures and tastes, veggies meals are already part of my everyday diet. So, when I heard about Gurou, my curiosity and love of good food pushed me to discover the place. Downtown La Rochelle, in the covered market neighbourhood, the restaurant that started to sell its food by street bike is a very cool place. A bright small shop where meals suggested are wrote down by chalk stick on a slate, with an open kitchen from where smells of veggie burgers, sweet…

  • Vegan Matcha Maleines

I am not Vegan but I enjoy trying new recipes and tastes. So I looked for a Vegan recipe with Matcha and found one for a cake. I changed some of the proportions and ingredients a few times before finding the best way to make it. For example, the original recipe is sugar free so I added some. As you will see in the pictures, I tried with milk rice and sunflower oil, but let me advice you that it is not the better way to make it! Milk rice is tasteless and sunflower oil too strong. I changed it for coconut milk (sooo good) and grape seed oil (perfect…

  • My Garden

Do you enjoy gardening? As you may have seen in the “About Me” section, I spent my childhood in the country and have been lucky to do some gardening as a child with my family. I loved those moments and hope to go back to the country one day to have my own big garden. Meanwhile, I am so lucky to have a small place to grow some herbs to cook, vegetables and fruits! For the herbs, I bought organic ones. I have basil, chives and parsley. I let them close to my door so I just have to walk a few steps from my kitchen to use them quickly…
